Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of GA Top Posts, which consists of the GATopPosts.com website and dashboard (the “Platform”) and the TopPosts for Google Analytics WordPress plugin (the “Plugin”). Together these are the “Service.” The Service is operated by ITXI, SA (“ITXI,” “we,” “us”). Installing the Plugin, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service means you accept these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you don’t agree with these Terms, please don’t use the Service. Installing the Plugin, connecting a Google Analytics property or generating an API Key all count as acceptance, and confirm that you have read and understood these Terms along with our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and “you” refers to that organisation throughout.

You also need to meet Google’s own eligibility and API terms for the Google Analytics property you connect. We can’t give you access to data or properties that Google won’t.

3. The Service

GA Top Posts connects a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property to a WordPress site, so you can identify and showcase your most-visited content through filters, a Gutenberg block, a shortcode, and a widget.

We continue to develop the Service, so features change over time. We may add, alter or remove functionality, including functionality in the Free tier. If a change materially reduces what a paid tier does, we will give you reasonable notice first. Changes forced on us by third parties are covered in §5.

4. Accounts and API Keys

You register for a Dashboard account and generate an API Key, which you enter into the Plugin’s Configuration tab. Keep it private. You are responsible for anything that happens under your account, whether on the plugin side or the dashboard side. If you think your key has been exposed, email support@gatopposts.com right away and revoke it from the Dashboard.

If your subscription lapses or a payment fails, we may mark your connected site as disabled and temporarily restrict premium-only actions until it’s resolved. Core Free functionality is unaffected.

Keep your account email current. It’s where we send renewal reminders, security notices, and anything else covered by §16.

5. Third-Party Integrations and Data

Using the Service means connecting a Google Analytics property and running the Plugin on a WordPress site you control. Google and WordPress have their own terms and we don’t control them. If Google changes its Analytics API or restricts access, we may have to change or withdraw a feature without notice.

The Plugin contacts the Platform to verify your API Key, create and manage your filters, and retrieve your ranked post results. Each of these calls sends your API Key, plugin version, and site URL, plus filter configuration where relevant. The Plugin does not transmit your site visitors’ personal data. The analytics behind your results is processed by GATopPosts.com from the Google Analytics property you explicitly authorise on the Platform. Full detail is in the Plugin’s “External Services” documentation and our Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics, GA4, and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. WordPress is a trademark of the WordPress Foundation. Elementor and WPML are trademarks of their respective owners. GA Top Posts isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

Payment plans are billed per connected WordPress site, at the price and billing cycle shown at checkout when you upgrade from within your WordPress dashboard. Prices are exclusive of VAT, sales tax, and any other tax we are required to collect. Those are calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

It renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle at whatever the current price is, unless you cancel first. If we change the price, we’ll give you reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal.

Payments are processed through our designated payment processor. We don’t see or store your full card number on our servers. If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend Premium features until it clears (see §4).

Subscription fees are otherwise non-refundable, including for partial or unused periods.

If you’d like to try Premium before subscribing, email support@gatopposts.com and we’ll issue a temporary trial code. Trial access reverts to Free automatically when it expires.

7. Cancellation, Downgrades, and Your Data

You can cancel at any time from the Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you are already in, not immediately.

Deactivating the Plugin hides your widgets from the frontend but leaves all settings and cached data intact. Reactivating restores everything without you having to reconnect Google Analytics.

Deleting (uninstalling) the Plugin removes its files and, from your WordPress database, its settings, cached filter data, and any pages it created to host filter widgets (moved to trash, recoverable for the standard 30-day window). It does not affect your account on GATopPosts.com. Your API Key, filters, and connected Google Analytics property remain on the Platform. To remove that data as well, delete your account from the Dashboard. We will revoke your API Keys and delete or anonymise your account data within 30 days, except where we have to keep records longer for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

8. Acceptable Use

Don’t use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
  • try to get into accounts, systems, or data that aren’t yours;
  • disrupt or degrade the Service for other users;
  • resell or share your Platform access or API Keys with third parties (this covers hosted access; redistributing the Plugin’s code is governed by its own licence, see §9);
  • push unlawful or harmful content through it.

Breaching this section may result in your account being suspended or closed.

9. Intellectual Property

The Plugin. The Plugin is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+), the same licence WordPress itself uses. We hold the copyright in it, but your rights to the code are set by the GPL. You can run it, study it, change it, and redistribute it on those terms. Nothing in these Terms restricts that, and if these Terms and the GPL conflict over the Plugin’s code, the GPL takes precedence.

Trademarks are an exception, since a copyright licence never covers them. The GA Top Posts, TopPosts for Google Analytics, GATopPosts.com, and ITXI names and logos stay ours, so a modified copy can’t be distributed under our branding.

The Platform. The rest isn’t open source: the Dashboard, the API, the hosted infrastructure behind them, and our branding. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to reach the Platform through your account while that account is in good standing. Don’t resell that access, reverse-engineer the API, or scrape it.

Your content. You own your own content: your posts, your filters, your configuration. By using the Service you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, and process that content solely in order to run the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. That licence extends to the providers we use to run it (hosting, payments, email) and ends when you delete the content or your account.

Feedback. If you send us feedback or feature ideas, we can use them without owing you anything or keeping them confidential.

10. Indemnification

If someone brings a claim against us arising from how you used the Service, including content you pushed through it, rights you infringed, laws you broke, or a breach of these Terms, you’ll cover our reasonable losses, damages, and legal costs from it. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take the lead on the defence, and we won’t settle it without your agreement.

11. Termination

You can stop at any time. Deactivate the Plugin, cancel your subscription if you have one, and delete your account if you want it gone (§7).

We can suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the law requires it, and we’ll tell you when we reasonably can. If we close your account without you having broken these Terms, we’ll refund the unused part of anything you’ve prepaid.

Closing an account ends your access to the Platform, and your API Keys stop working. Your GPL rights in the Plugin’s code are unaffected (§9), but there won’t be a Platform for it to connect to.

Sections 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise it’ll run uninterrupted or error-free, and we don’t control whether Google keeps its Analytics API working or how complete or accurate the data it returns is.

Your WordPress site and its backups are yours to look after. We are not a backup service.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows it, ITXI isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost data, lost revenue, and lost goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim caps at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you’re on the Free tier, whichever is greater.

None of this limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the Service.

Before starting proceedings, email support@gatopposts.com and allow us 30 days to try to resolve the matter with you.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For anything material, we’ll post a notice here and update the Effective Date at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you’ve accepted the change.

16. General

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service, and they replace anything said or written before.

Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

No waiver. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. We may transfer these Terms to a successor if the business is sold, merged, or reorganised. You can’t transfer yours without our written consent.

No third-party rights. Nobody other than you and us can enforce these Terms.

Notices. We’ll reach you at the email on your account; reach us at support@gatopposts.com. Email is treated as written notice.

Events outside our control. We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by things we can’t reasonably control, including third-party API changes and outages, network or hosting failures, and acts of government.

No partnership. These Terms don’t make either of us the other’s agent, partner, or employee.

17. Contact
